Time: Monday 19.01.2009 at 2:12 - 3:06 PM Place: AgC223.1, project meeting space Present: * Tuomas Mäenpää, chairman * Richard Domander, secretary * Teemu Nisu * Tommi Teistelä * Matthieu Weber * Ville Isomöttönen Minutes 1. Opening Chairman Tuomas Mäenpää opened the meeting at 2:14 PM. Presence of quorum was confirmed. 2. Approval of Agenda Decisions * Agenda was approved without modifications. 3. Approval of the minutes of the previous meeting Tuomas went over the minutes of the previous meeting, and they were approved as is. State of the tasks listed in previous minutes''' * The team has solved all but one minor issue (the "rapid successive seeking" -bug) * The test summary for the application report has been written * Patches to Matthieu have been sent * Corrections to the application report have been made * Corrections to the project report have been made Decisions * The minutes were approved as is 4. Progress since previous meeting Tommi questioned the time usage reports Tuomas had made, and he admitted there were errors (e.g. Tommi hasn't spent as much time for audio filter testing as claimed by the charts). Teemu had tested the final patch, and found no new bugs, though the "rapid successive seeking" -issue remains. The team has tried to port the features to the SVN version of MPlayer, and it seemed like they had succeeded at one point, but then the code in the repository changed so much that again there's much work to be done. 5. Handover, and approval of the final patch Matthieu noticed that subtitles didn't work with TV stream (no automatic detection of subtitle stream). Richard pointed out that this was a conscious choice, and agreed with Matthieu how to fix the problem. Matthieu had also noticed that the audio compression didn't work exactly as he'd specified, but admitted that he should have tested the filter earlier. Luckily Weber was able to make the filter work the way he wanted. Weber approved the code and was satisfied with the patch sent by email. 6. Approval, and signing of the project report The project report was signed and approved. 7. Approval, and signing of the application report The application report was signed and approved. Teemu had to leave the meeting for a couple of minutes (2:42 - 2:44), to print the papers for signing. 8. Approval of the project The project was approved, but Ville pointed out that we should still check that everything is delivered. 9. Delivery of the results Tasks * Team brings the folders first to Ville so that he can check the folders and CDs are OK * After the folders have been approved, a folder with CD is delivered to Weber * Weber should write down his thoughts on the project ("client's page") 10. Patch to MPlayer community The risk of ever-changing SVN version has realized, and again there's work to do so that the features can be ported from rc1. There's probably not enough time in the project left to work out all the kinks, so it was unanimously decided that the team will not send a patch to the MPlayer community. Weber was OK with this. Decisions * The project team will not send a patch to the MPlayer community 11. Miscellaneous topics Decisions * The team, client, and supervisor will have lunch at Paistopiste on Wednesday 21.1. at 11.30 AM. They'll meet in the lobby * The team shall send the front page of the folder to Ville * The minutes of the last meeting (this one) shall be approved by email, and then added to the folder 12. Closing Tuomas closed the meeting at 3:06 PM
